Do you want to contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive school day for secondary school students? We are now looking for two teacher assistants for Withalaskolan.

As a teacher assistant, you work together with teachers and other school staff to support students' learning, development, and sense of security at school. You are an important support in the teaching process and contribute to creating structure, a conducive study environment, and an inclusive learning atmosphere.

Your tasks include supporting students in their schoolwork, clarifying instructions, and providing extra assistance to students with different needs. You help prepare teaching materials and ensure that lessons can be conducted in a smooth and efficient manner.

In addition to working in the classroom, you participate in break times, transitions, and activities. You play an important role in promoting safety and good relationships by working preventively, supporting students socially, and contributing to the school's values-based work. You are part of the school's joint efforts regarding student health and well-being.

Withalaskolan is located in the heart of Vetlanda, just a stone's throw from the city center and Stortorget. Around 700 students in grades 7–9 attend this school, and we are approximately 80 employees who together create an environment where every student has the opportunity to become their best self.

As a teacher assistant, you work both independently and on assignment from teachers, in close collaboration with colleagues. You are a key part of creating a functional daily routine and a positive climate both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking for someone who is confident, sensitive, and has a good attitude towards others. You are structured in your work, easy to collaborate with, and able to adapt your working style to different situations. You contribute to student engagement and participation and are a positive force within the team.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are trained as a teacher assistant or have other education that we assess as equivalent.
• An extract from the criminal record register (Swedish: belastningsregistret) is required.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
